Community growing at the heart of Cutteslowe Park.

About

ABOUT CUTTESLOWE GREENHOUSE

Cutteslowe Greenhouse is a new community project which seeks to create an opportunity for people to connect with nature and each other. We are working to secure a lease on the greenhouses located in the centre of Cutteslowe Park, as a base for our future activities. In the meantime, we put on regular events in the area, with the aim of strengthening existing community connections and learning nature-related skills from each other. Check our Events page for more information, sign up to our newsletter, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

WHAT'S GOING ON AT CUTTESLOWE GREENHOUSE

We are in the process of setting up a new, community-led social enterprise which will help us connect with nature and each other. We're working to secure a long-term lease on the greenhouses in Cutteslowe Park. In the meantime, we're putting on pop-up events in the park, with opportunities to volunteer. See below to learn about our current activities, or go to the Volunteering section to sign up to help with future events. If you'd like to support our project through becoming a member or making a one-off donation, head to the Membership section.

Looking for two new Board Members!

Do you feel passionate about bringing the greenhouses back into community use? Do you have skills in fundraising or business planning to help us get there? Are you able to commit regular voluntary time for the next 3-6 months to do this work? If so we'd love to hear from you. Read more about the Board roles and how to apply on the link below.

We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis.

Volunteer with us!

Would you like to join our community? We have lots of opportunities to get involved. We are currently looking for more volunteers to join our Plot #4 Community Allotment team of growers. You can also join our monthly working parties at the Community Orchard. Or join the cooking team and help us run pop-up community lunches, where we make feasts out of surplus food donated by the Oxford Food Hub and grown at our allotment. You can also join as a comms/social media volunteer, events organiser and steward, and more. Get in touch with our coordinator Matthew for more information.

Cutteslowe Community Allotment

On Plot 4 of the Cutteslowe Allotments (OX2 8ES) you'll find a very special place. The current hub of our community growing activities, the Cutteslowe Community Allotment is a partnership between Cutteslowe Greenhouse and Cutteslowe Community Larder. Larder members are particularly encouraged to join our weekly Allotment Sessions though everyone is welcome! Under expert guidance, we grow a range of organic fruit and vegetables which are donated back to the Larder. Why not join our next session - they're every Wednesday, 12-2pm.

Our community orchard is a space where people can come together to learn about and enjoy delicious seasonal fruit, from apples to raspberries and more. Join our regular work parties every third Sunday of the month, 10am-12pm.
