Cutteslowe Greenhouse is a Community Benefit Society, a type of co-operative. This means that we are owned and controlled by our members - the community of Cutteslowe & Sunnymead and beyond.

As a Community Benefit Society all our profits are reinvested into the community and our mission.

We welcome anyone to become a member who wants to support our mission.

Becoming a member

How it works

As a member you will be invited to take part in making decisions about the society at Annual General meetings, based on the co-operative principle of “one member, one vote”. You may also stand for election and vote on candidates for the Board of Directors, who govern the society’s day-to-day operations.

In a Community Benefit Society, members hold shares in the society as part of their membership. For the Cutteslowe Greenhouse each share is worth £1 and you need to hold a minimum of 10 shares (i.e. £10) in order to become a member. As a member of the society, your liability is limited to your shareholding.

To become a member all you need to do is fill in the form here and purchase your shares (once you have filled out the form, you will be directed to the payment link to complete this).

If you do not wish to become a member, but would like to support our project through a donation, you can do so here.
